Singapore Cruise Centre relocating from HarbourFront Centre in July

SINGAPORE, June 20 — HarbourFront Centre is set to shut its doors on July 27.

In a related move, the Singapore Cruise Centre that has been operating out of the mall will shift to 5 HarbourFront Avenue from July 15, a site located about 70m away from its current position within HarbourFront Centre.

The move means ferry and cruise services will continue operating from the nearby site with no change to routes, destinations or schedules, The Straits Times reported today.

Batam Fast Ferry will be the first operator to begin services at the new terminal on July 7, followed by other operators and cruise services from July 15.

Ferry routes to Indonesian destinations including Batam Centre, Harbour Bay, Sekupang, Tanjung Balai Karimun, Gold Coast and Nirup Island will remain unchanged despite the relocation.

HarbourFront Centre’s closure was first announced in October 2025 by owner Mapletree Investments, though no specific date was given at the time beyond the second half of 2026.

The mall will be redeveloped into a mixed-use complex featuring offices, retail space and an elevated park, according to the Singapore newspaper.

The 33-storey development is expected to be completed by the first half of 2031, according to Mapletree Investments.

The project will span 123,000 sq m and include a 13,000 sq m elevated park alongside a waterfront promenade and cycling-friendly infrastructure.

HarbourFront Centre first opened in 2003 following the redevelopment of the former World Trade Centre, which dated back to 1978.
