  • Iran’s warning to major U.S. tech firms signals a sharp geopolitical escalation risk.
  • Accusations of AI-linked espionage deepen mistrust between Iran and Western powers.
  • Regional strikes and global tensions suggest conflict may expand beyond borders.

Iran reportedly warned 18 U.S. technology companies, including Apple, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, over alleged links to operations against Tehran. The statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps raised concerns about escalating tensions and broader geopolitical risks.

Iran Warns 18 US Tech Firms

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) listed major companies such as Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, HP, Intel, IBM, Cisco, Tesla, Nvidia, Oracle, JP Morgan, and Boeing. Their advanced AI and ICT systems allegedly helped track targets and facilitate actions against Iranian interests, increasing tensions across the Middle East.

Therefore, the IRGC accused these firms of assisting operations against Iran, particularly in response to targeted killings of Iranian figures.

The statement urged employees to leave offices as a precaution. Iran alleged that advanced AI and communication technologies were used in operations targeting Iranian figures.

Regional Tensions Rise After Iran Warning

The warning comes amid a wave of regional incidents. In Iraq, a strike killed two fighters from the Hashed al-Shaabi, also known as the Popular Mobilization Forces. The group blamed the United States and Israel, raising concerns about further retaliation.

In Saudi Arabia, multiple explosions shook Riyadh, signaling heightened instability across the Gulf.

Meanwhile, Europe witnessed growing friction as Italy rejected landing permission for certain U.S. military aircraft en route to the Middle East. Officials cited logistical limitations and insufficient parliamentary clearance time. These developments highlight a widening international dimension to the conflict, with Western nations adjusting operations amid rising Iranian threats.

U.S. and International Response

U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth described the next stage of the conflict as decisive, while noting diplomatic efforts remain ongoing. He also did not rule out potential troop deployments.

However, President Donald Trump urged countries facing fuel shortages to secure their own oil supplies, referencing tensions around the Strait of Hormuz.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied reports of missiles toward Turkey and proposed a joint investigation. Meanwhile, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez criticized new Israeli legislation, highlighting broader diplomatic friction.
