TLDR

  • ARK sold over 213K shares of Nvidia worth more than $37M last week
  • Meta Platforms shares were cut by over 90K shares, worth close to $50M
  • ARK reduced its Bitcoin ETF stake and sold crypto-linked equity Bullish
  • CoreWeave was bought with 41,830 shares purchased for around $3.1M
  • Circle Internet Group was ARK’s biggest buy, with over 161K shares worth $16–17M

Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest spent most of last week selling. The firm moved out of large-cap tech, AI-linked stocks, crypto equities, and consumer internet names at scale, while only adding a small number of new positions.

The biggest sell was Nvidia. ARK offloaded a combined 213,000-plus shares across three of its ETFs — ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF — worth over $37M. Advanced Micro Devices saw over 57,000 shares sold, and Taiwan Semiconductor had more than 18,000 shares trimmed. Broadcom also saw a minor reduction.

Teradyne was another major exit. ARK sold close to 82,000 shares worth around $24M over the week, continuing a pattern of reducing that position.

In internet and platform stocks, ARK sold over 90,000 shares of Meta Platforms, valued at close to $50M. The firm also trimmed Alphabet, Netflix, Spotify, and Pinterest.

ARK Cuts Crypto and Speculative Holdings

ARK reduced its position in its own ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF and continued selling Bullish, a crypto-linked equity. Block saw about 107,000 shares sold, worth over $6M.

High-risk innovation names took big cuts too. Archer Aviation had 899,000 shares offloaded. Roku saw a multi-day sell program totaling over 234,000 shares. Recursion Pharmaceuticals lost 631,000 shares from ARK’s portfolio.

Healthcare selling included Illumina, Veracyte, Ionis Pharmaceuticals, and Natera. Defense names Kratos and BWX Technologies were also trimmed.

What ARK Was Buying

Buying activity was limited but focused. Circle Internet Group was the standout purchase. ARK bought over 161,000 shares across ARKF, ARKK, and ARKW, worth between $16M and $17M.

Tempus AI was another key buy, with about 146,000 shares picked up across ARKK and ARKG, worth around $7M. 10x Genomics saw over 121,000 shares bought, worth close to $2.5M. Arcturus Therapeutics added over 53,000 shares.

Recent Single-Day Activity

On Monday, March 30, ARK bought 41,830 shares of CoreWeave through its ARKK ETF, worth about $3.1M.

The same day, ARK purchased 37,422 shares of Oklo and 20,674 shares of GeneDx Holdings. DoorDash saw a small addition of 2,527 shares.

On the sell side that day, ARK offloaded 29,130 shares of Teradyne for around $8.6M, and sold 42,818 shares of Veracyte for about $1.3M.

The only names added to ARK’s buy list across the full week were Circle Internet, Tempus AI, 10x Genomics, Arcturus Therapeutics, CoreWeave, Oklo, and GeneDx.

Aave DAO to Shut Down 50% of L2s While Doubling Down on GHO

The post Aave DAO to Shut Down 50% of L2s While Doubling Down on GHO appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Aave DAO is gearing up for a significant overhaul by shutting down over 50% of underperforming L2 instances. It is also restructuring its governance framework and deploying over $100 million to boost GHO. This could be a pivotal moment that propels Aave back to the forefront of on-chain lending or sparks unprecedented controversy within the DeFi community. Sponsored Sponsored ACI Proposes Shutting Down 50% of L2s The “State of the Union” report by the Aave Chan Initiative (ACI) paints a candid picture. After a turbulent period in the DeFi market and internal challenges, Aave (AAVE) now leads in key metrics: TVL, revenue, market share, and borrowing volume. Aave’s annual revenue of $130 million surpasses the combined cash reserves of its competitors. Tokenomics improvements and the AAVE token buyback program have also contributed to the ecosystem’s growth. Aave global metrics. Source: Aave However, the ACI’s report also highlights several pain points. First, regarding the Layer-2 (L2) strategy. While Aave’s L2 strategy was once a key driver of success, it is no longer fit for purpose. Over half of Aave’s instances on L2s and alt-L1s are not economically viable. Based on year-to-date data, over 86.6% of Aave’s revenue comes from the mainnet, indicating that everything else is a side quest. On this basis, ACI proposes closing underperforming networks. The DAO should invest in key networks with significant differentiators. Second, ACI is pushing for a complete overhaul of the “friendly fork” framework, as most have been unimpressive regarding TVL and revenue. In some cases, attackers have exploited them to Aave’s detriment, as seen with Spark. Sponsored Sponsored “The friendly fork model had a good intention but bad execution where the DAO was too friendly towards these forks, allowing the DAO only little upside,” the report states. Third, the instance model, once a smart…
