TRM Labs secured a new USD 70 million Series C round that pushed its valuation to USD 1 billion. The company advanced its position as demand for AI-driven blockchain intelligence surged across global crime-fighting operations. TRM Labs strengthened its capabilities as crypto crime accelerated through automated laundering and AI-enabled schemes.

TRM Labs Expands Platform to Counter AI-Driven Threats

TRM Labs built new tools that help agencies handle rising AI-powered fraud and cross-border financial crime. The company increased its focus on scalable analytics as illicit actors moved faster across multi-chain environments. TRM Labs enhanced detection systems that link on-chain behavior with off-chain threat activity.

Its platform now provides broader visibility as ransomware groups and criminal networks automate operations for higher impact. The firm accelerated development to support institutions facing rapid shifts in digital asset misuse. Furthermore, TRM Labs advanced controls designed to operate reliably in high-risk national security settings.

The company deepened partnerships across the public and private sectors as global agencies sought stronger intelligence. Demand stayed high as more economic activity transitioned on-chain and increased monitoring pressure. Consequently, TRM Labs positioned its software as a primary defense layer for regulated organizations.

Funding Fuels Growth in AI Research and Crime-Fighting Technology

The round supported expansion across applied AI, machine learning, engineering, and national security analysis. TRM Labs scaled its workforce to strengthen investigative workflows and compliance automation for complex digital asset markets. Moreover, the company advanced AI systems that streamline alert reviews and risk assessments.

TRM Labs also expanded tools that uncover hard-to-trace crypto flows and link adversaries across multiple blockchains. The firm improved investigative depth as tokenization and digital payments reshaped global crime landscapes. Additionally, new research teams developed models that track evolving fraud patterns and adversarial tactics.

The company grew its presence across major hubs including San Francisco, London, Washington D.C., and Singapore. It continued sharpening capabilities as rising AI-enabled scams created new operational pressures. As a result, TRM Labs positioned itself to support governments adapting to rapidly changing digital threats.

Background and Strategic Position in Global Enforcement

TRM Labs entered the market in 2018 with a belief that crypto adoption would create massive analytical demand. The company targeted intelligence gaps as blockchain use expanded beyond Bitcoin and diversified criminal activity. Early focus on multi-chain coverage strengthened its competitive position.

The firm gained traction as agencies needed fast insight into complex on-chain evidence across global cases. TRM Labs supported major law-enforcement operations that required precision and scale. Additionally, its teams of former investigators improved product accuracy for mission-critical environments.

TRM Labs now plays a central role as agencies confront rapid growth in AI-driven crime. The company continues enhancing tools that safeguard financial systems and national security operations. Therefore, its new valuation reflects rising reliance on advanced blockchain intelligence.

Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC

The post Franklin Templeton CEO Dismisses 50bps Rate Cut Ahead FOMC appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson has weighed in on whether the Federal Reserve should make a 25 basis points (bps) Fed rate cut or 50 bps cut. This comes ahead of the Fed decision today at today’s FOMC meeting, with the market pricing in a 25 bps cut. Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are currently trading flat ahead of the rate cut decision. Franklin Templeton CEO Weighs In On Potential FOMC Decision In a CNBC interview, Jenny Johnson said that she expects the Fed to make a 25 bps cut today instead of a 50 bps cut. She acknowledged the jobs data, which suggested that the labor market is weakening. However, she noted that this data is backward-looking, indicating that it doesn’t show the current state of the economy. She alluded to the wage growth, which she remarked is an indication of a robust labor market. She added that retail sales are up and that consumers are still spending, despite inflation being sticky at 3%, which makes a case for why the FOMC should opt against a 50-basis-point Fed rate cut. In line with this, the Franklin Templeton CEO said that she would go with a 25 bps rate cut if she were Jerome Powell. She remarked that the Fed still has the October and December FOMC meetings to make further cuts if the incoming data warrants it. Johnson also asserted that the data show a robust economy. However, she noted that there can’t be an argument for no Fed rate cut since Powell already signaled at Jackson Hole that they were likely to lower interest rates at this meeting due to concerns over a weakening labor market. Notably, her comment comes as experts argue for both sides on why the Fed should make a 25 bps cut or…
