Everyone wants the same thing from crypto: put in a little now and pull out a fortune later. So let’s actually run the numbers. If you dropped $10,000 into one coin today and wanted $1 million by 2030, which one gives you the best shot?

We compared five of the most talked-about coins—XRP (CRYPTO:XRP), Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), and Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE). Here’s how each one of these cryptos stacks up, and which actually has a shot at turning a $10K investment into a million dollars.

What It Takes to Turn $10,000 Into $1 Million

Turning $10,000 into $1 million means your coin has to grow 100 times over, and that’s a tall order. There are two key things that decide whether a coin can realistically pull off such a run—its size and where the money would come from.

Size is important because a coin’s price only rises when new money flows in, and the bigger a coin already is, the more money it takes to move it. A coin worth $15 billion can double on a few billion of fresh buying, while a coin worth $1.25 trillion needs tens of billions just to move 10%.

Take Bitcoin’s numbers for instance. It’s worth about $1.25 trillion today, so a 100x would make it a $125 trillion asset, and that is more than what every economy on Earth produces in a year combined. No pool of money on the planet could fund that by 2030, so a 100x Bitcoin is unrealistic on any timeline this short.

That said, unrealistic doesn’t mean impossible. Crypto has pulled off moves that looked impossible before, and it may do so again. So, the rest of this piece measures the jump each coin needs to deliver a million from $10K.

Why a 100x Is Hard to Imagine for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP are the top three coins on this list. The three cryptocurrencies could climb very high from current prices, but hitting 100x within four years is a long stretch.

Starting with the OG crypto, Bitcoin, which trades at about $62,600 today. For a $10,000 investment to become $1 million, Bitcoin would need to reach roughly $6.3 million a coin. That would make its market cap around $125 trillion, which is more than every economy on Earth produces in a year.

The 2030 Bitcoin price targets are far lower than that. ARK Invest’s forecasts run from $300,000 to $1.2 million, and Standard Chartered sees $500,000 by the end of the decade. If Bitcoin falls anywhere in that range, a $10,000 investment grows to between $48,000 and $190,000. That is a 5x to 19x, and it’s the steadiest ride of the five coins.

Ethereum trades at about $1,760, so it would need to reach $176,000 for the 100x. That would push its market cap above $20 trillion, roughly six times what the entire crypto market is worth today. The 2030 Ethereum price targets run from $5,000 to roughly $11,700, with Standard Chartered’s $40,000 as the highest call out there. Those targets turn $10,000 into about $28,000 to $65,000, a 3x to 7x, with more only if the top call hits.

XRP trades at $1.15, and a 100x would put its market cap near $7 trillion. No crypto has ever come close to that—Bitcoin at its record high was worth about $2.5 trillion. The 2030 XRP price targets run from $5 to $15, with Standard Chartered’s $28 the highest, so a $10,000 investment becomes anywhere from $44,000 to $250,000, a 4x to 24x. XRP’s range is wider than Bitcoin’s or Ethereum’s because its price hangs on one unanswered question—whether Ripple’s growing pile of deals ever turns into actual demand for the token.

So, the big three won’t realistically make you a millionaire from $10,000 by 2030. What they can do is turn $10,000 into a solid $30,000 to $250,000 with far less danger of losing everything. If the million is going to come from anywhere, it has to come from something smaller.

Solana Has a Smaller Base and a Bigger Multiple

Solana trades at about $80 today, with a market cap near $47 billion, which is about 27 times smaller than Bitcoin. If Solana pulls off a 100x from $80, the price would reach $8,000 and the market cap would grow to around $4.7 trillion. Crypto could produce a $4.7 trillion coin someday, but 2030 is too close for Solana to grow that large.

The good news for Solana is that the coin doesn’t need a 100x to pay well. Solana is small enough that it takes far less new money to push its price up than the top three coins need, so its realistic multiples run much higher.

The 2030 Solana price targets range between $500 and about $1,065, and VanEck’s bullish prediction goes as high as $3,211. Those targets turn $10,000 into roughly $62,000 to $130,000, and up to around $400,000 if Solana reaches VanEck’s forecast. That is a 6x to 40x, comfortably the best range of the group so far.

However, there is a catch in that low price. Solana traded above $250 in early 2025 and spent much of last year far higher than today. The $80 price makes the coin cheap, but it also shows how hard this year’s market slide hit it, and the same pressure could drag the price lower before it recovers. Still, a 40x turns $10,000 into $400,000, whci is life-changing money, just not the million dollar dream.

Hyperliquid Is the Only One Where a Million Isn’t Far-Fetched

Hyperliquid is the smallest coin on this list, trading at about $69 with a market cap near $17 billion. If Hyperliquid pulls off a 100x, the price would reach $6,900 and the market cap would grow to around $1.7 trillion. That is below Bitcoin’s peak market cap of about $2.5 trillion, so Hyperliquid could realistically go as high as 100x. HYPE hitting a million with a $10K investment is still a long shot, but it is the only coin on the list where the shot exists.

Moreover, Hyperliquid also has something the other four coins don’t. The platform runs the biggest crypto derivatives exchange on any blockchain, and it pours most of the fees it earns into buying its own token off the market—about $1.5 million of buying every day at the current pace. We broke down how that works in our piece on money leaving Bitcoin for Hyperliquid. That steady buying is a big reason HYPE kept climbing this year while most of the market fell.

Hyperliquid’s potential is immense as it’s relatively new, and so is the risk. The token has mostly gone up since it launched, so no one knows how it handles a deep correction, and no credible 2030 forecast exists for it yet. But if there’s any coin on this list that could 100x, it’s HYPE.

Which Crypto Could Actually Make You a Millionaire?

Hyperliquid has the best shot at turning $10,000 into $1 million, followed by Solana, then XRP, then Ethereum, with Bitcoin last. That order is almost the exact reverse of how safe the five coins are. The smaller a coin is, the more room it has to grow.

Bitcoin remains the safest bet of the five. It is the original crypto and the one institutions back the most, but to turn $10,000 into $1 million, the Bitcoin price would need to reach $6.3 million by 2030, and even the market leader can’t realistically grow that fast.

Ethereum and XRP have the same problem at smaller sizes, so a $10,000 investment in the big three realistically grows to between $30,000 and $250,000 instead of the million. Solana and Hyperliquid have the room to multiply far more, but each carries its own risk—Solana is still recovering from a deep fall, and Hyperliquid is too young to have been tested by one.

Still, this is the market that took Bitcoin from a fraction of a penny to $126,000 a coin, so a surprise 100x can never be fully ruled out. But chasing the million from $10,000 means betting on the riskiest coin on the list, because the bigger coins can’t realistically hit a 100x as early as 2030. The safer route is to aim a little lower. And in the end, how much you invest and how long you hold matter more than which coin you pick.
