Trump voters pound president for making billions 'on the side' while they struggle

Blockbuster reports that Donald Trump is cashing in to the tune of billions during his second term have trickled down to some of his MAGA supporters, and they had a few unpleasant things to say about it to MS NOW’s Alex Tabet.

On “Morning Joe," co-hosts Jonathan Lemire and Willie Geist shared a clip of Tabet talking to Florida GOP voters, all of whom admitted they voted for the president, with Lemire first offering, “He's making money, his rich friends are making money, his family is making money, you know, but we saw it at the opening of the show. Who has a 401(k)?”

Guest Richard Haas interjected, “The blatancy of this, the nakedness of it is really interesting that in a sense, he's getting away with corruption. You know, people went after Hunter Biden for what now looks like penny-ante stuff, without excusing that. But this is on a scale that is really unprecedented, to the best of my knowledge.”

“But I actually think the President and his family are getting away with it," he observed. “It's almost like we're all, Jonathan, so worn down. And he's just doing it and it's one of a million things, from reflecting pools to this, you name it, and so we can talk about it. But again he's, his family, is going to become one of the wealthiest families in America or the world."

In the clip from Florida, Trump voter Olivia Danielle pointed to the billions Trump and his family are raking in, telling Tabet, “That's very frustrating. To actually hear that and, like I said, I don't do the politics and stuff, but to hear that come from another American that you know is not getting 2 million put in their pocket—.”

“Billion, billions,“ Tabet corrected her.

“$2 Billion! $2 million! $2 trillion!” she exclaimed. “You know that's a lot of money. That is a lot of money, and that would help out a lot of people around here, a lot of homeless people you could, you could open shelters, you could really help somebody out with that.”

“Somebody is making money on the side. It's not me. That's all I got to say,” snapped Florida voter Allen Warfield.

“Is it frustrating?” MS NOW’s Tabet asked.

“It's frustrating that you see your President getting richer and richer, and the middle class is getting poorer. And that's about it,” Warfield tersely replied.
