Residents at the apartment block in Taman Impian Indah alerted the police around 7pm yesterday over the stench.
PETALING JAYA: A foul stench emanating from an apartment in Taman Impian Indah in Kajang, Selangor, led to the discovery of a dead woman stuffed inside a suitcase last night.
Residents called the police around 7pm over the stench, with policemen deployed to check for the source of the smell, Harian Metro reported.
Upon entering the apartment, they discovered the suitcase and the woman stuffed inside.
Separately, Kajang police chief Naazron Abdul Yusof said the suitcase was found in the living room. The identity and ethnicity of the victim had yet to be identified as no documentation was found on her.
Naazron added that the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, Astro Awani reported.
