OKX sets its 24-hour crypto withdrawal limit by fee tier, not KYC level: 10,000,000 USD equivalent at the Regular tier, rising to 80,000,000 USD at VIP 8 and above, calculated daily at 16:00 UTC, and withdrawals move through four statuses with most on-chain sends leaving OKX within minutes, per OKX's pages retrieved 9 September 2026.

Key Takeaways
  • OKX's 24-hour crypto withdrawal limit is set by your fee tier, from 10,000,000 USD at Regular to 80,000,000 USD at VIP 8 and above, and is calculated daily at 16:00 UTC.
  • Your KYC level does not change that limit, which you raise either by reaching a higher tier or by asking support for a temporary increase.
  • Withdrawals pass through Withdrawal Application, Pending, Withdrawing and Transferred, and can be cancelled in the first two stages with funds back within 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Changing your login password, phone, email, authenticator or passkey blocks withdrawals for 24 hours, a flagged address blocks them for 48 hours, and a P2P purchase can lock the bought amount for 1, 3 or 7 days.
  • The network fee is charged once per withdrawal and varies by chain, with USDT costing 1.5 USDT on Tron against 0.0022 USDT on X Layer on 9 September 2026.
  • MEXC sets its daily crypto limit by KYC level, 80 BTC at Primary and 200 BTC at Advanced, and is not available in the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA.

Why the Limit Is Rarely What Stops a Withdrawal

Most searches for the OKX withdrawal limit come from someone whose withdrawal just failed.
The limit is almost never the reason, because a new account starts at 10,000,000 USD a day, a ceiling most individuals never approach.
What actually stops withdrawals is a password changed the night before, a P2P purchase still inside its T+N hold, a deposit that has not reached the unlock confirmation count, or an address the risk system flagged.
OKX documents every one of those holds in its own help center, but across several pages and in two sets of status labels, so this guide puts them in one place with the retrieval date on each claim.
It also covers what a withdrawal costs, how to time one so the result can be reproduced, and how OKX's fee-tier ceiling compares with MEXC's KYC-based ladder for readers who can use both.

OKX Withdrawal Limits by Fee Tier

OKX's identity verification guide states that the 24-hour crypto withdrawal limit is determined by your fee tier, and the fee schedule prints the figure beside every tier.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against the Spot tab of OKX's global fee schedule. The Futures tab uses different volume thresholds (Regular is below 5,000,000 USD of 30-day futures volume) but the same limit column, and the highest tier you qualify for in any product applies to all products.
Three details from the fee schedule explain how the figure behaves in practice.
It is calculated daily at 16:00 UTC from your fee level, and every crypto asset you withdraw is converted to its USD value and counted against the same allowance.
OKX's own worked example uses a 300 USD limit: withdrawing 250 USDT, 25 USD of OMG and 15 USD of XRP uses 290 USD and leaves 10 USD, so a further 20 USD of XRP is denied until the next day.
In that situation you can contact customer support and request a temporary increase.
The ladder differs slightly by entity: on the EEA and US schedules the intermediate tiers carry larger limits, starting with 24,000,000 USD at VIP 1, but both also begin at 10,000,000 USD and top out at 80,000,000 USD.
Two facts follow from this that most guides get backwards.
Completing a higher verification step does not raise the limit, because there is only one verification step and the limit reads from the fee schedule.
And figures quoted in BTC, such as 10 BTC for unverified accounts or 500 BTC for verified ones, describe a system OKX no longer publishes, since every current limit is denominated in USD.

How to Raise Your OKX Withdrawal Limit

There are two routes, and one of them takes a single message.
The temporary route is to contact OKX customer support and ask for a tentative increase, which the fee schedule and the Fee Details page both describe as the answer to hitting the daily allowance.
The permanent route is to reach a higher fee tier, which OKX grants on either assets or 30-day volume, whichever qualifies you higher, with the tier applied across all products and shared by your sub-accounts.
Assets are snapshotted at 16:00 UTC each day across trading, funding and financial accounts, so 100,000 USD of holdings alone takes an account from 10,000,000 USD to 20,000,000 USD a day on the global schedule.
On the EEA schedule the thresholds are measured in EUR, and on the US schedule VIP 1 begins at 100,001 USD of assets or 30-day volume.

How Long OKX Withdrawals Take

OKX does not publish a single processing-time promise for on-chain withdrawals, but it does describe each stage and what a slow one means.
A withdrawal moves through four statuses: Withdrawal Application, Pending, Withdrawing and Transferred, which a second help page labels In Progress and Sent for the last two.
Application and Pending mean the assets have not moved on-chain yet and are queued, and OKX processes the queue in submission order with no manual intervention.
Withdrawing is described as usually very short, typically turning to Transferred within a few minutes, with a longer stay meaning a queue.
Transferred means the assets have left OKX, and from that point the time belongs to the blockchain's confirmation count and the receiving platform's own crediting rules.
If a request stays Pending for more than an hour, OKX's page says to contact support.
Two rules around the timeline are useful in the moment.
A withdrawal can be cancelled from the withdrawal order page while it shows Application or Pending, and the funds return within 1 to 2 minutes; once it shows Withdrawing or Transferred the action is irreversible.
A transfer to another OKX user is not an on-chain withdrawal at all: it is credited in real time, carries no fee and needs no blockchain confirmation.
One more thing surprises people at the explorer: the sending address shown on-chain is OKX's main wallet address, not your personal deposit address, and OKX confirms that this is expected.

How to Time an OKX Withdrawal in Four Timestamps

Because OKX's stages are documented but its clock is not, the honest way to answer "how long" is to measure it in a way anyone can repeat.
Fix the network and the amount in advance, keep the amount above both OKX's minimum withdrawal and the destination's minimum deposit, and do not run the test inside the 24 hours after any password or authentication change.
Then record four timestamps.
T0 is the moment you confirm the withdrawal after security verification.
T1 is the moment the status turns Transferred and a TXID appears in your withdrawal history, which is the only interval OKX controls.
T2 is the moment the explorer shows the receiving platform's required confirmation count, which belongs to the chain.
T3 is the moment the destination balance updates, which belongs to the receiving platform.
Reported that way, a slow arrival can be traced to the right party instead of being blamed on the exchange that had already sent it.

What Locks OKX Withdrawals for 24 Hours

OKX's withdrawal troubleshooting page, updated 5 August 2026, lists the account changes that trigger a 24-hour security hold on both on-chain withdrawals and internal transfers.
Changing your login password blocks withdrawals for 24 hours, and the hold lifts automatically.
Changing your phone number, email, authenticator app or passkey does the same.
The new address withdrawal lock, if you have it switched on, blocks withdrawals to a newly added allowlisted address for 24 hours, and it is the only one of the three you can turn off yourself, in Address Book under Address settings.
Binding security information for the first time does not trigger a hold, and the fund password that older app versions required has been removed, so a hold attributed to a fund password change means the app needs updating.
OKX's P2P page adds that the same 24-hour protection period blocks selling crypto as well as withdrawing it.

Risk Controls That Hold Part of Your Balance

A second group of holds is not tied to the clock but to a specific amount, and OKX is explicit that other functions stay open while they run.
T+N protection applies to crypto bought through P2P: the system assesses the purchase and may restrict withdrawal and P2P resale of that amount for N days, shown on screen as 1, 3 or 7 days and longer in some cases.
If no T+N prompt appears before the order, you can sell or withdraw the crypto as soon as the trade completes, and holds of T+3 and T+7 can be appealed under Assets, Locked Assets.
Double-spending risk control restricts only the amount equal to a deposit until the recovery time shown on the withdrawal page.
A deposit can be credited and still be locked, because the deposit page shows two confirmation counts, one for arrival and one for withdrawal unlock, and the asset cannot be withdrawn or sold until the second is met.
A withdrawal address the system flags as high-risk restricts the withdrawal function for 48 hours while every other feature stays available, and the reason arrives by email.
Broader risk-control freezes also start with an email, and OKX's P2P risk page says an account is unfrozen within 1 to 3 working days once a review finds no risk.

Why Your OKX Withdrawal Failed, and How to Fix It

Outside the holds, most failed withdrawals come from the form rather than the account.
The sender and receiver must select the same crypto on the same network, the amount must exceed the receiving platform's minimum deposit as well as OKX's minimum withdrawal, and the contract address must match the receiving platform's.
If the network shows a Tag or Memo field, the correct tag for the receiving platform has to be entered, and OKX puts the responsibility for it on the sender.
Assets used as trading margin must be closed or reduced first, and assets in Simple Earn or On-chain Earn must be redeemed or left to mature.
Funds in a sub-account cannot be withdrawn directly and must be transferred to the main account.
Some assets such as ZEC have special address requirements, and a delisted or unsupported token can still be withdrawn from the Non-tradable assets section of the funding account once its delisting completes.
If the withdrawable amount is lower than your balance, the withdrawal page has a View details notice that names the position hold or risk-control freeze behind the gap.
Error pages, invalid-token prompts and unresponsive buttons are handled by switching networks and waiting five minutes, trying another address, or updating the app.

OKX Withdrawal Fees

OKX charges no fee on deposits and a network fee on every on-chain withdrawal, charged once per transaction regardless of the amount.
Its deposit and withdrawal fee page says the figure includes a small portion for platform maintenance and a buffer for congestion, and that it is updated on a schedule rather than in real time, so it can differ from the live gas cost.
On the latest app version the fee is deducted from your balance rather than from the withdrawal amount, unless you select Withdraw all.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against the Crypto withdrawal tab of OKX's fee schedule (page timestamp 09/09/2026 11:01:30). Network fees move with congestion; the withdrawal page shows the live figure before you confirm.
The gap between networks for the same coin is the biggest lever a withdrawing user has.
USDT on Tron cost about 680 times more than on X Layer, ETH on Linea cost about 2,750 times more than on X Layer, and USDC on Ethereum cost 32 times more than on Polygon.
The cheap network only helps if the destination lists that asset on that chain, so the deposit page at the receiving end is the first thing to check, not the last.

OKX Withdrawal Limits vs MEXC

Before the comparison, one line on eligibility: MEXC does not serve residents of the United States, the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, so readers on OKX US or OKX Europe should treat the MEXC column as reference only.
The two platforms answer the same question with different machinery.

Data verified as of 9 September 2026 against OKX's fee schedule, OKX's help center verification guide (updated 25 August 2026) and proof-of-reserves page, and MEXC's support page "MEXC KYC FAQ" (updated 2 June 2026).
OKX's design means a Regular-tier account already has a ceiling that only a fund would test, and the number never moves unless your tier does.
MEXC's design means the ceiling is a verification decision: Primary KYC opens 80 BTC a day and Advanced opens 200 BTC, both denominated in BTC rather than USD, so the USD value of the allowance rises and falls with the price.
Neither ceiling is the binding constraint for most retail withdrawals; the holds described above are, and they exist on every exchange in some form.
For what each MEXC level requires and unlocks, the official MEXC KYC FAQ is the one-page source, and a small first withdrawal is the sensible way to test any new route.

Regional Exception: OKX TR

OKX's Turkish entity operates under a different rulebook, and it is the one case where the limit really is the constraint.
Under obligations published by MASAK on 28 June 2025, OKX TR states that crypto withdrawals, including transfers to other platforms, can only be made at least 48 hours after the purchase, swap or deposit of the asset, and at least 72 hours for a first-time withdrawal.
A daily cap of 3,000 USD and a monthly cap of 50,000 USD apply to transfers of stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, DAI, PYUSD and USDG to other platforms, rather than to every crypto asset.
This section is information only for readers in Türkiye, whose accounts sit with OKX TR under Turkish rules.

Moving Assets Off OKX: A Checklist

Whether you are consolidating to a wallet or to another exchange, the same checklist prevents the two mistakes that lose funds.
Open the destination's deposit page first, and copy the address and the network from there rather than from memory.
Confirm the asset is listed on that exact network at the destination, because a cheap network the destination does not support is the expensive option.
Enter the Tag or Memo if the network uses one, and enter it exactly.
Check that your OKX account is outside any 24-hour hold, that the asset is not inside a T+N or double-spend restriction, and that the deposit it came from has cleared the withdrawal unlock count.
Send an amount above both minimums as a test, wait for it to credit, then send the balance.
Keep the TXID from your OKX withdrawal history, since it is what the receiving platform will ask for if anything stalls.
If the destination is MEXC, its official deposit guide walks through selecting the network and copying the address, and it repeats the same warning about matching the withdrawal network exactly.

The MEXC View

We publish MEXC Learn, so we have an interest in where you hold your assets, and every OKX rule in this article was read from OKX's own pages before we wrote a word about MEXC.
OKX's withdrawal system has three strengths we would not argue with.
A 10,000,000 USD daily ceiling from day one is effectively no ceiling for an individual, its help center diagnoses a blocked withdrawal down to the error keyword, and it publishes a zk-STARK proof of reserves; our roundup of exchanges that publish proof of reserves explains why the attestation format matters.
Internal transfers to other OKX users being free and instant is a real convenience for anyone whose counterparties are also on OKX.
MEXC's limits have edges we should state plainly.
MEXC's daily allowance is a KYC decision denominated in BTC, MEXC does not serve the United States, the United Kingdom or the EEA, its iOS and Android apps are not available in Japanese app stores, and MEXC appears on the Japan Financial Services Agency's list of unregistered operators.
Where MEXC earns the comparison is the cost of the route rather than the size of the ceiling, which is why the withdrawal-fee comparison linked above exists, and why the full MEXC vs OKX comparison spends more time on fees than on limits.
How we verify each number, including what we do when two official pages use different labels for the same status, is set out in how we verify exchange data.

Who Should Withdraw Through OKX, and Who Should Plan Around It

OKX's withdrawal rules suit anyone who moves large sums infrequently, anyone whose counterparties are on OKX, and anyone in the United States or the EEA who needs the local entity.
They need planning from anyone who changes security settings often, since each change costs a day of withdrawals, and from anyone who funds through P2P, where a T+N hold can sit on the purchase for up to a week.
Traders in Türkiye are on OKX TR's 3,000 USD daily and 48-hour rules, and traders in the United States or the EEA cannot use MEXC, so for them this article's MEXC column is context rather than a recommendation.
Everyone else choosing between a fee-tier ceiling and a KYC ceiling should decide on the routes and fees they will actually use, and our list of OKX alternatives compared on verified numbers shows where each venue gives ground.

Frequently Asked Questions About OKX Withdrawal Limits

What is OKX's daily withdrawal limit?
The 24-hour crypto withdrawal limit is 10,000,000 USD equivalent at the Regular fee tier, rising to 80,000,000 USD at VIP 8 and above.
It is calculated daily at 16:00 UTC from your fee tier.

Does my KYC level change the OKX withdrawal limit?
No, OKX's verification guide states that the 24-hour crypto withdrawal limit is determined by your fee tier.
Verification is required to withdraw at all, but it does not set the ceiling.

How long do OKX withdrawals take?
OKX describes four statuses and says the Withdrawing stage usually turns to Transferred within a few minutes, with longer waits meaning a queue.
After Transferred, arrival depends on the chain's confirmations and the receiving platform.

Why can't I withdraw from OKX for 24 hours?
Changing your login password, phone, email, authenticator or passkey triggers a 24-hour withdrawal hold that lifts automatically.
The optional new address lock adds a 24-hour hold on newly added addresses and can be disabled in Address settings.

Can I cancel an OKX withdrawal?
Yes, while the status shows Withdrawal Application or Pending, and the funds return within 1 to 2 minutes.
Once it shows Withdrawing or Transferred it cannot be reversed.

What is the minimum withdrawal amount on OKX?
It depends on the asset and network: on 9 September 2026, 9.3 USDT on Tron, 1.4 USDT on Ethereum and 0.013 USDT on X Layer, or 0.000095 BTC on the Bitcoin network.
The amount must also exceed the receiving platform's minimum deposit.

Are internal transfers to OKX users free?
Yes, withdrawals to other OKX users are credited in real time with no fee and no blockchain confirmation.
They are still blocked by the same 24-hour security holds as on-chain withdrawals.

What is a T+N restriction on OKX?
It is a hold on crypto bought through P2P that restricts withdrawal and resale of that amount for 1, 3 or 7 days, and longer in some cases.
Holds of T+3 and T+7 can be appealed under Locked Assets.

Why is my withdrawable amount less than my balance on OKX?
Part of the balance is held by an open position, an Earn product, a deposit below the unlock confirmation count, or a risk-control freeze.
The View details notice on the withdrawal page names the specific reason.
