According to Fintechnews, Malaysian stablecoin company BLOX has raised $1 million in seed funding led by Kivo Technology, the technology investment arm of a Singapore-based venture capital fund. According to CoinDesk, more than 1,700 unlicensed crypto platforms have been ordered to stop providing services following the full implementation of the EU’s MiCA regulation on July 1. Only 323 companies currently hold valid authorization, leaving approximately 10 million users facing asset migrations. Scammers are impersonating regulators and licensed trading platforms, sending fraudulent migration notices and directing users to transfer funds. European regulators advise users to verify providers through ESMA’s official register and remain cautious of unsolicited payment or asset-transfer requests.
ECB Survey: Only 0.2% of Eurozone Businesses Accept Cryptocurrency for Online Payments
According to Bitcoin.com News, a European Central Bank survey of 8,205 eurozone businesses found that only 0.2% accept cryptocurrencies or stablecoins for online payments, while acceptance at physical points of sale stands at 1%. Among businesses with physical sales locations, 92% accept cash and 88% accept payment cards.
