ASUS unveils AI-powered ExpertBook Ultra for Malaysian enterprise market

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — ASUS has launched its latest commercial flagship, the ExpertBook Ultra, at the Next Enterprise Summit 2026.

Designed as a Copilot+ PC, the device is aimed at Malaysian professionals requiring high-performance computing in a highly portable format.

The ExpertBook Ultra features a 14-inch display within a 0.99 kg chassis, making it one of the lightest business laptops in its class. Constructed from aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminium alloy, the 10.9 mm thin device includes a “Nano Ceramic” surface treatment intended to improve scratch and wear resistance. Despite its size, ASUS has equipped the laptop with a 70Wh battery, which the company claims provides up to 26 hours of usage.

The laptop is powered by the Intel Core Ultra X7 Series 3 processor. Utilising ASUS ExpertCool Pro thermal technology, the device maintains a 50W Thermal Design Power (TDP) to prevent performance throttling during intensive tasks.

Graphics are handled by integrated Intel Arc B390 hardware, which ASUS asserts delivers higher performance than an NVIDIA RTX 4050 at 30W TGP. The system is supported by PCIe Gen 5x4 storage and 9600 MT/s memory bandwidth, optimised for local AI data processing and reduced latency.

The ExpertBook Ultra features a 14-inch 3K Tandem OLED touchscreen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,400 nits. The display technology is designed to reduce power consumption by 40% compared to standard panels.

For connectivity, the device retains a full suite of I/O ports, including USB Type-C and Type-A on both sides, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a haptic touchpad.

To meet enterprise requirements, the device includes the MyExpert AI suite for secure, local AI tasks. Hardware-level security features include:

• Compliance with NIST SP 800-193 BIOS resilience standards.
• A self-healing Dual BIOS ROM.
• Dual biometric authentication (fingerprint and IR facial recognition).
• Independent cybersecurity validation by SGS Brightsight Singapore.
