PETALING JAYA: Police busted an online gambling and mini casino syndicate operating out of a luxury condominium unit in Bukit Jalil following a raid on Saturday.
Deputy Cheras police chief Lim Chun How said 15 people aged between 21 and 44 were arrested in the raid.
Police seized gambling paraphernalia including a casino table, hundreds of gambling chips, playing cards, approximately RM4,000 in cash, laptops, and a karaoke audio system.
Officers also discovered four transparent plastic packets containing white powder suspected to be cocaine.
Checks revealed that one of the suspects was wanted in connection with a drug-related case in Pulau Tikus, Penang.
The case is being investigated under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, Entertainment (Federal Territory) Act 1992, and Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
