As market participants look ahead to the next major cryptocurrency cycle, attention continues to focus on which digital assets could deliver the strongest returns relative to Bitcoin.

One XRP supporter, known as Austin, recently gave a bold prediction that suggests XRP could significantly outperform Bitcoin during the next bull market.

In a post on X, Austin stated, “Prediction: XRP will outperform BTC by over 500% next bull run.”

To support his outlook, Austin attached a long-term XRP/BTC chart showing the trading pair on a weekly timeframe. The chart highlights a multi-year structure that appears to be approaching the end of a falling wedge pattern, a formation many technical analysts view as potentially bullish when followed by a breakout.

Chart Suggests Major XRP/BTC Move

The chart shared by Austin tracks XRP’s performance against Bitcoin dating back more than a decade. According to the analysis presented, the XRP/BTC pair has spent years trading within a prolonged downtrend after reaching previous cycle highs.

Austin’s chart identifies a narrowing wedge formation that has developed over recent years. The projection suggests that once the pattern is completed, XRP could begin a substantial move higher against Bitcoin. A highlighted target zone on the chart sits near historical resistance levels, with a projected gain exceeding 500% from the current XRP/BTC valuation.

Specifically, the chart points toward a potential move from approximately 0.00001784 BTC to around 0.00009675 BTC. Such an advance would represent a gain of roughly 539%, aligning with Austin’s prediction that XRP could dramatically outperform Bitcoin during the next bullish phase of the market.

The analysis does not focus on XRP’s dollar value. Instead, it measures XRP’s strength relative to Bitcoin, a direct comparison between the performance of the two digital assets.

Community Members React to the Forecast

The prediction quickly attracted responses from other cryptocurrency commentators who shared their own views on the XRP/BTC outlook.

Crypto community member Johnny Bulldog expressed skepticism about the reasons that could drive such a move. Responding to Austin’s post, he wrote, “Only if speculation drives it and not adoption, that would be a huge failure.”

His comment suggested that while a significant rise in XRP relative to Bitcoin may be possible, he believes sustainable growth should come from real-world adoption rather than market speculation alone.

Meanwhile, market analyst CrediBULL Crypto largely agreed with Austin’s broader outlook but noted that he expects additional downside before any major rally begins.

His response indicates that, despite expecting short-term weakness, he remains optimistic about XRP’s longer-term prospects relative to Bitcoin.

For now, Austin’s projection adds to the growing number of bullish XRP forecasts circulating within the crypto market as investors continue to assess which assets could lead the next major market advance.
